Sinus (Expression Function Reference)
The Function > Profiles > Sinus command in the expression editor inserts the token sinus(<period>,<amplitude>,[<offset>]) at the insertion point in the editing pane. This token generates a sinusoidal function with a wave-shaped profile. Replace the dummy arguments as follows:
|
<period> |
Replace with an expression for the period, or wavelength, of the function from crest to crest, in frames. |
|
<amplitude> |
Replace with an expression from the maximum height of the function at a crest in SOFTIMAGE units. |
|
[<offset>] |
Replace with an horizontal offset for the function in frames. This expression is optional. If it is not included, the default offset is 0. |
Example
sinus(50, 10, 12)
Generates a wave-shaped function that repeats every 50 frames, with a maximum value of 10, and which is 0 at frame 13 (1 + 12).
