Test Should Drip

This compound determines when a sliding particle should drip down as a trigger for an effect. For example, you may want particles to act like a drop of water: when enough particles of water have accumulated or reached an edge, they will fall or drip down.

Plug its Result output into a Trigger port on a State compound or in a Condition port of an If node.

For more information, see ICE Particles Sliding on Obstacles.

For more information on states, see ICE Particle States.

Output Ports: Result

Angle Threshold

The angle in degrees at which the particles will drip.

Force Threshold

The amount of force required to make the particles drip. A high threshold value means that a large amount of force is required to make the particles drip; a low threshold value means a smaller amount of force will do the trick.

Min Neighoring Particles

The minimum amount of neighboring particles that need to accumulate before the particle drips.

Cutoff Distance to Neighboring Particles

The maximum distance (in Softimage units) in which the particle considers its neighboring particles.
