Creating a Glow Effect

You can quickly create a post-process 2D glow property to any object or group of objects. Remember that since this effect is post-process, it is added to the scene only after rendering is completed (after the last tile is rendered).

This procedure describes how to use the glow property, but post-process 2D glows and halos can also be applied using output shaders. For the available output shaders in the library, see Output Shaders [Shader Reference].

To create a glow

1. Select the object to which you want to apply a glow effect.

2. Draw a render region in a viewport (press q).

3. From the Render toolbar, choose Get > Property > Glow. The Glow Property Editor opens.

4. You can determine the color of the glow by adjusting the RGB sliders. You can also set the size and texture noise of the effect from the parameters on the Size and Noise tabs.

5. The glow is applied to the selected object once it has finished rendering.
