Force Controller Property Editor
Determines the effect of a force on a rigid body.
To apply: Select an object and choose Create > Rigid Body > Active or Passive Rigid Body from the Simulate toolbar.
To redisplay: Select the rigid body and choose Modify > Rigid Body > Edit Rigid Body from the Simulate toolbar. You can also click the rigid body’s Force Controller icon in the explorer.

Forces Active |
Toggles the activeness of the force on the rigid-body object. |

Force Application |
Where the force is applied on the rigid-body object: • Center of mass applies force to the location of the object’s center of mass. This prevents the object from spinning because no torque is imparted. • Vertices applies force at each vertex of polygonal objects or at each control vertex of NURBS surfaces. This is the slowest but most accurate choice. • Bounding box applies force to the eight corners of the rigid body’s bounding box. To see the object’s bounding box, select Shading > Bounding Box from the viewport menu. |
