Shader Type: Texture Generator (Tool)
Output: Scalar value
Creates a vein-like scalar texture space that you can apply to an object. This texture generator is based on a coordinate input. You can control the vein thickness, complexity, and other visual styles. You can also animate this shader using the Time parameter.

Name |
The shader’s name. Enter any name you like, or leave the default. |

Coordinates |
Defines the U, V, and Z texture coordinates. |
|
Thickness |
Defines the veins’ thickness. |
|
Complexity |
Defines how complex and convoluted the curves of the veins will be. A low value (1-3) give thick, flowing curves; a high value gives chaotic and choppy curves. (Higher values take longer to render.) |

Falloff |
Defines the falloff region around the veins. |
|
Sharpness |
Defines the falloff between the vein and the falloff region defined in the Falloff parameter. A value of 0 causes no noticeable step between the two regions; a higher value creates a definite transition. |

Intensity |
Defines the overall scaling of the intensity effect. |
|
Time |
Animates the texture by defining the current time. |
Use this shader to drive a parameter with a texture effect anywhere in a render tree. This shader generates a texture that can be used as an Intensity value, a Scale value, or to drive any scalar surface shader parameter (IOR, Bumpmap Factor, etc.).
Connect a Texture Space Controller shader to drive the Coordinate value of this shader.
