Shader Type: Illumination (surface)
Output: Color (RGB) value
Creates an editable shadow for an object. Once applied to an object, you can define the color of its shadow as well as its transparency.
![]()
|
This shader computes how much the light is attenuated, and not the actual attenuated shadow color, as shadow shaders normally do. |
|
Name |
The shader’s name. Enter any name you like, or leave the default. |
|
Diffuse |
Defines a shadow color. |
|
Transparency |
Defines how transparent the shadow will be. Black will create an opaque shadow, and white will make the shadow completely transparent. |
Once connected to the Surface and/or Shadow input of the material node, this shader can create and alter a shadow for an object. You can connect a texture to the Diffuse or Transparency input to alter the shadow or give it a transparency map.
