Shader Type: Color Channel (Tool)

Output: Color (RGB) value

Converts vector input information to a color output.

Name

The shader’s name. Enter any name you like, or leave the default.

Input

Defines the vector inputs (XYZ axes or UVW coordinates) to be converted to color values.

Conversion Method

Defines how each of the vector inputs are converted to color values.

Direct Copy: The value of each vector input (XYZ axes or UVW coordinates) is copied directly to each RGB color channel.

Normal Map: You can pipe normal vectors (bump or surface normal) through the input port, to drive the generation of a normal map.

Input Scaling

Specify a scaling factor for the vector inputs when being converted to color values.

Render Tree Usage

This shader is simply placed between a vector output and a color input in order for the two values to connect.
