Shader Type: Texture
Output: Scalar value
Extracts or creates a texture map, weight map, or vertex RGBA property and outputs it as a scalar value which can be used to drive other shaders’ parameters.

Name |
The shader’s name. Enter any name you like, or leave the default. |

Map |
Defines a texture map, weight map, or vertex RGBA map to use. Select a map from the drop-down menu and Click Edit to open its property page. To create a new map, click New and choose a map from the list. |

Factor |
The map is multiplied by this value before it is output. |
This shader can be used in conjunction with various tool and mixer shaders, like blend shaders or mix shaders, to drive any other shader’s parameters.
