Vector Map Lookup

Shader Type: Texture

Output: Vector value

Extracts or creates a texture map, weight map, or vertex RGBA property and outputs it as a vector value which can be used to drive other shaders’ parameters.

Name

The shader’s name. Enter any name you like, or leave the default.

Map

Defines a texture map, weight map, or vertex RGBA map to use. Select a map from the drop-down menu and Click Edit to open its property page. To create a new map, click New and choose a map from the list.

Factor

The map is multiplied by this value before it is output.

Render Tree Usage

This shader can be used in conjunction with various tool and mixer shaders, like blend shaders or mix shaders, to drive any other shader’s parameters.
