Starting and Interacting With Softimage

The method you use to start Autodesk Softimage depends on which operating system you’re using: Windows or Linux (see Starting Autodesk Softimage). Exiting the program is the same on both operating systems (see Exiting Softimage).

There are also a number of command-line options that can be used for starting Softimage (see Softimage Startup Options).

Softimage runs in its own window, which means that you can minimize, maximize, resize, and move it as you would any other window. On Linux, there are many window managers that can be used and the options they offer are all different and customizable (see Softimage and Window Management).
