Surfaces

Surfaces are one of the basic types of renderable geometry in Softimage. They are cubic or linear NURBS patches. You can:

• Build surfaces from other objects in your scene.

• Modify the topology of surfaces in a variety of ways.

• Project curves onto surfaces and use the projected curves to trim surfaces.

Surfaces also form the basis for building seamless assembled surface meshes, which are described in Surface Meshes.
