Vertex Colors

Vertex coloring is way of adding color to polygon objects by storing color, alpha, and/or luminance information in each polygon’s polynodes. This chapter covers:

• Applying a color at vertices (CAV) property to an object.

• Painting colors directly on the object using the Paint Vertex Colors tool.

• Painting an alpha channel directly on the object using the Paint Vertex Colors tool.

• Painting luminance directly on the object using the Paint Vertex Colors tool.

• Using bleeding options to control how color, alpha, and luminance are applied.

• Rendering the CAV information as surface shading.
