Shader Type: Color Channel (Tool)

Output: Color (RGB) value

 

This shader is no longer supported. Scenes using it will still load, but it is recommended that you use the newer Vector to Color shader.

Converts vector information to RGB values. You can choose which axis will drive which color channel.

Name

The shader’s name. Enter any name you like, or leave the default.

Input (XYZ or UVW)

Defines the vector inputs to be converted to a color value.

X, Y, Z Channels

Defines how each of the X, Y, and Z axes (or UVW coordinates) are converted to color values. Each axis can be told to have No Contribution or to use its value to Put its contribution to a specific color channel: Red, Green or Blue.

Math Operation

Controls how all of the axis values affect a channel. You can use the following basic math functions: Add, Subtract, Multiply and Replace.

Render Tree Usage

This shader is simply placed between a vector output and a color input in order for the two values to connect.
