CTB and STB Printing Tool for AutoCAD® 2007

Description

This tool provides a way to export CTB and STB plot style tables to a comma-delimited text file. The comma-delimited text files can be imported into a spreadsheet program (e.g.Microsoft Excel) and be printed or compared with another. The text files can also be printed out directly.

Supported Products


(1) Install this tool only if AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 or Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2007 is installed.
(2) Install this tool only if AutoCAD 2007 is installed.

Installation

To install the CTB and STB Printing Tool for AutoCAD 2007

  1. Download the self-extracting file Table Print Tool.exe to your local folder.
  2. Double click the downloaded file and extract the resulting files to your local folder.
  3. A license agreement (Utility License.rtf) is included as one of the extracted files.

    You must read and accept the license agreement before using the application. If you do not agree with the terms of the license agreement, then delete the application.

  4. Close all software applications.
  5. Copy the file tableprint9.exe.
  6. Find the product installation folder; for example, C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2007.
  7. Paste the file tableprint9.exe into this folder.
  8. Double click tableprint9.exe.

User Notes

The tool can be used with a dialog interface or with command line prompts. The dialog interface will be displayed if it is invoked with no prompts.

If prompts are provided on the command line, the following information will be needed:


You will be given a choice of whether you want plot styles along rows or columns. If you do not intend to import the text file to a spreadsheet program, it is recommended that plot styles be along rows. Having plot styles along columns is primarily for users who intend to import the text file to a spreadsheet program and want the file to resemble the way they look in the plot style table editor.

To Insert Comma-Delimited Text Files into Microsoft Excel

  1. In Excel, select File > Open.
  2. Choose the appropriate text file. The Text Import Wizard will be displayed.
  3. Within the wizard, choose the option specifying that the text file is delimited. Click Next.
  4. Choose the option specifying a comma as a delimiter. Click Finish.
