This README file highlights what has been fixed or addressed, where to download the update and how to install it. ================================================================================ CONTENTS ========= - Prerequisites - Installation Instructions - Issues Addressed by Hotfix TS1065567 ================================================================================ Prerequisites: ============== You must have administrative privileges to be able to install Hotfix TS1065567 on AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 or Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2007 on Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home. Your copy of AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 or Mechanical Desktop 2007 must be patched to Service Pack 1 before installing this hotfix. To determine which zip file you need to download, follow these guidelines: - If you have AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 (locked or unlocked), then download TS1065567_ACM.zip - If you have Mechanical Desktop 2007 (locked or unlocked), then download TS1065567_MDT.zip ================================================================================ Installation Instructions: ========================== 1. Download the appropriate zip file for Hotfix TS1065567 for the applicable product and version: - If you have AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 (locked or unlocked), then download TS1065567_ACM.zip - If you have Mechanical Desktop 2007 (locked or unlocked), then download TS1065567_MDT.zip Note: The above patches will update all language versions. 2. Extract the ZIP file to a temporary directory using a utility such as WinZip. Do not use the operating system's ZIP feature. 3. For TS1065567_ACM.zip, a folder named “Acadm 2007” is extracted and for TS1065567_MDT.zip, a folder named “MDT 2007” is extracted. 4. Copy this folder to replace the one that is in your installation folder. For example, the default location for “Acadm 2007” folder is in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\, so you should copy the extracted “Acadm 2007” folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\. 5. Click Yes to All to replace the existing files. A total of 10 files will be replaced. To verify that the Hotfix is properly installed, start AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 or Mechanical Desktop 2007 and type AMVER at the command prompt. A text window is displayed and should report "AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 Hotfix2" or “Mechanical Desktop 2007 Hotfix2”. Note: If your copy of AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 is part of Mechanical Desktop 2007 installation you need only to apply the appropriate Hotfix for Mechanical Desktop 2007. ================================================================================ Issues addressed by Hotfix TS1065567: ===================================== The following AutoCAD Mechanical issues are resolved in this hotfix: - BOM API : getEvaluatedPartData returns empty string for master comp def. - BOM API : getEvaluatedPartData does not return property value when the property contains formula. - BOM API : getEvaluatedPartData is not working correctly for reference component. The following Mechanical Desktop issues are resolved: - In some situations, MDT 2007 stops responding when using 3D orbit or changing to 2 viewports. - In some situations, MDT 2007 crashes after updating drawing views. ================================================================================ We want to thank all our customers who identified these issues and reported them to us.
