            Notice to Productstream Professional 2008 Customers

In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released 
this Hotfix for Productstream Professional Clients, which fixes 3 issues with 
the Compass Server Dll. This fix provides a new version of the dll which is 
numbered as file version 5.7.0.29.

Download and installation is recommended for all customers who are using 
Productstream Professional 2008 Easy or want to use the configuration option
"KeyGenRange=a" to generate an alphabetic key  in lower case. It's also 
recommended for the Productstream Professional 2008 Jobserver. 

This README file highlights how to install the HotFix and what has been fixed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

(1) Download the Productstream Compass HotFix file 
    "TS1072306_COMPASS_Server_dll_5_7_0_29.zip".

(2) Close the Productstream Professional application.

Steps (3)-(5) must be repeated on all affected machines:

(3) Make a backup copy of your Productstream Compass Client directory, esp. of 
    the file "Compass_Server.dll".

(4) Extract the downloaded ZIP directly to the Productstream Professional Client
    directory <PSP Client>\bin allowing overwrite of existing files.

(5) Start the Productstream Professional Client.

Summary of issues addressed in Productstream Professional 5 HotFix:

The HotFix addresses the following issues:

Problem 1:
----------
        Canīt login into Productstream Professional 2008 Easy although you have 
        an Easy license in your flexLM, because the Compass Server Dll tries 
        to access a Pro and not a Easy license.         
                        
Problem 2:      
----------
        Although you change the expression for a key generation in the 
        Configuration Editor to "KeyGenRange=a" to generate an alphabetic key  
        in lower cases, the key will be generated in upper cases.  
                
Problem 3:      
----------
        Productstream Professional 2008 Jobserver generally creates Job Number 
        which ends with the tremendous characters (in quotes) "(null". This causes 
        some strange filenames and faults of some ___Shell Commands like 
        cp() or mv() etc. Jobs who are using these commands are not working. 
        (See errlog.err entries like "___Shell: "cp(..." missing ')' or missing 
        arguments, errno=2" or "Error in JBSOpen, file […]\1179329302
        (nullENG-000020.idw) does not exist!, errno=2")
                
Solution:
---------
        Install the new Compass_Server.dll of file version 5.7.0.29
        on all Productstream Professional Clients and on the Jobserver Client
        as described in the installation instructions above.
