Autodesk has released this AIMSplitter.dll hotfix 
which addresses crashes in Productstream Compass.

Description of the issue:

This hotfix addresses some crashes under the following circumstances:

- while calling function <place component> or <create component>
- while closing Productstream professional, while opened modal Dialogs,
  that are running in own threads.
- crashes with ADR 2008 SP1

After installation, the file version number of the AIMSplitter.dll is

Installation Instructions:

Please copy the AIMSplitter.dll into the <Your_Client>/bin Folder and register
the Library with the following instruction from command line:
        regsvr32 <Your_Client>/bin/AIMSplitter.dll
