================================================================= Notice to Autodesk Productstream Professional 2009 Customers ================================================================= In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released this hotfix which addresses cases described below. ================================================================= CONTENTS ================================================================= - Description of the issue - System Requirements - Known Issues - Warnings - Files Affected - Update Verification - Installation Instructions ================================================================= Description of the issue: ================================================================= This hotfix retrofits the following functionalities back into the Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 2009 add-in: - "Check State of Components" when opening an Autodesk Mechanical Desktop assembly. - "New Engineering Document" on PS menu - "Transfer to Productstream" on PS menu - "Bill of Material" on PS menu - "Replace with newest version" on PS menu - "Edit external reference" on PS menu ================================================================= System Requirements: ================================================================= Productstream Professional 2009 SP1 ================================================================= Known Issues: ================================================================= There are two issues for which workarounds exist. Perform the following to address them: 1. After installing the hotfix, launch Autodesk Mechanical Desktop at least once before using it with Autodesk Productstream Professional. 2. Some icons and menu items may not display after installing the hotfix. To address this, perform the following: a. In Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, type 'CUI' (no quotes) in the command line. i. You may obtain some error messages about missed cui files. Click 'OK' for all of them. b. In the CUI dialog, locate and expand the 'Partial CUI Files' section. c. Right click on any 'PRODUCTSTREAM' entry and select 'Unload CUI File' c. Unzip the package 2. Copy and Paste the following files into the appropriate folders: a. Client: i. For x32-bit: [ClientDir]\cai\arx\aimdamcomp172.arx ii. On Vista operating systems, disable the User Account Control (UAC) option and reboot the operating systems. 4. Launch Autodesk Mechanical Desktop before using it with Autodesk Productstream Professional. 5. Import 'Profile_ADSK_TS1103387.txt' a. Login as Administrator in Productstream Professional. b. Open the configuration editor by navigating to Tools -> Profile Manager... c. Select a profile over CUSTOMER:SYSTEM: the import button will be available: click it and browse to select the 'Profile_ADSK_TS1103387.txt' file d. Click on "exit" to close PSP. The client has to be restarted to read the new configuration 6. On Vista operating systems, you may choose to re-enable the User Account Control (UAC) option, but only after opening a dwg at least once in Autodesk Mechanical Desktop from Productstream Professional. ================================================================= Thank you for your commitment to Autodesk products.
