Random Unhandled Access Violation Service Hotfix
This hotfix repairs a problem in which AutoCAD Electrical could encounter a
random Unhandled Access Violation problem.
Prerequisites
- You must have AutoCAD® Electrical 2008 SP2 installed.
- You will need administrative privileges.
Note: This hotfix will update all language versions.
Installation Instructions
- Download the appropriate hotfix
- For 32 bit operating systems - TS1107547.zip
- For 64 bit operating systems - TS1107547_x64.zip
- Find the product installation folder; for example
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acade 2008.
- In this folder, right-click the AcePmDefun.arx file and
select Properties.
- In Windows XP, click the Version tab, in Windows Vista
click the Details tab. Confirm the file version.
- If this file is version 5.1.6.0, then proceed with this
installation.
- If this file is less than version 5.1.6.0, then you must
first install AutoCAD Electrical 2008 Service Pack 2.
- If this file is version 5.2.1.1, then this hotfix has
already been applied.
- Rename the affected original file.
- In the product installation folder, right-click the file
AcePmDefun.arx and rename it AcePmDefun.bak.
- Double-click the downloaded file.
- Extract AcePmDefun.arx to the product installation folder
(for example, C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acade 2008)
- Verify the version of the replaced file by right-clicking
on the new AcePmDefun.arx file and select Properties. In Windows XP click
the version tab, in Windows Vista click the Details tab. Confirm that this
file is version 5.2.1.1.
NOTE: To remove this HOTFIX, delete the new AcePmDefun.arx file and the
rename the file AcePmDefun.bak back to its original name of AcePmDefun.arx.
