Description of the Issue

Multiple item to file links may result in items that have out of date file links. Depending on the item state, this could result in some
blocked workflows such as assign item, update item and change state. This utility migrates non primary link types to standard
component links for all internal sub components to allow these operations. Only items that are related to files as a primary link
are affected on subsequent update operations.

System Requirements

  • Autodesk Data Management Server 2010 Update 1 (Manufacturing)

  • Related Hotfixes and Utilities

    TS1110227 hotfix

    Known Issues

If file iterations do not contain BOM data the file BOM data needs to be corrected before the item links can be updated.

    Warnings

It is strongly recommended to perform a back up prior to the application of this update.

The actions of this utility cannot be reversed. To revert to a pre hotfix state, a restore of a previous back up must be performed.

    Files Affected

No files are changed when using this utility. This utility modifies values in the Autodesk Data Management Server database.

    Update Verification

      1. Start the web service by typing IISRESET /start at the command prompt.
      2. Search for each file name in the vault.
      3. Go to the item associated with the file as the primary link.

      5. At the first dialog in the update operation cancel the update.
      6. Repeat for each file listed in the report.
      7. Return to step 8 to re-run the utility in fix mode to repeat the process.
