VaultDemoStaircase For Inventor ETO 2013 ---------------------------------------- This sample demonstrates manual check-in of a top level assembly, and automatically downloading member files from the Vault. - Unzip the files to your folder for Vault projects, which is by default: C:\users\\Documents\Vault You should have a directory C:\users\\Documents\Vault\VaultDemoStaircase This demo will work if you have a Vault 2013 Server installed on the same computer on which you're running the demo. The server must have a Vault Authentication account with the same user name as your Windows login, and the password the same as your user name. If you don't have a Vault server and account that fits that description, you will have to edit the child named TheVault in the Spiral Staircase design (spiralStaircase.iks). Demo steps: - Create a new assembly from the design: Spiral Staircase - Save the assembly. - Click on the Operations node at the bottom of the Intent Model, under TheVault. - Right-click on the CheckIn rule, and evaluate it. This should check in the Intent assembly to the Vault. You can verify this in the Vault Explorer. - Close the assembly. - Delete all the member files. - Create a new assembly from the Spiral Staircase design. Instead of regenerating the member files, the rules will download them from the vault. You can verify this in the Vault Explorer: the local copies have the same version as the Vault files.
