Vista Group Policy Objects Hotfix

This hotfix repairs a problem found when applying group policy objects to AutoCAD^® 2008-based products run on a Windows^® Vista^™ operating system.

Description of Problem

AutoCAD 2008-based products installed from a deployment with group policy objects included will not run on Windows Vista operating systems.

Installation Instructions

To install the Vista Group Policy Objects Hotfix

1. Close all applications and log in as Administrator.
2. Download Vista-GPO-Fix.mst to a location on your local computer.
3. Create a deployment using the steps found in the AutoCAD Network Administrator’s Guide under the section Assign a Deployment to Computers.
4. Add Vista-GPO-Fix.mst to the deployment using the steps below.
   
   a. On the Modifications tab of the deployment you just created, click Add.
   b. In the Open dialog box, click Vista-GPO-Fix.mst, and then click Open.
   c. In the <product name> Properties dialog box, on the Modifications tab, the transform package you selected is added to the Modifications list. Click OK.
