Revit 2012 Hotfix

Description of Problem

This hotfix addresses issues with meters to feet conversions indexing FARO point clouds and improves product stability when manipulating large or complex point clouds.

• Autodesk® Revit® MEP 2012

Installation Instructions

NOTE: You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft^® Windows^® operating system to complete the installation process.

NOTE: You must have Autodesk Revit 2012 Update 2 installed on the system in order to apply this hotfix.

This installation requires you to replace the following file:

• FaroImporter.exe
• Graphcs.dll

To Install the Hotfix on a 32-bit system

1. Close all software applications.
2. Make sure the Autodesk Revit 2012 Update 2 is installed on the system.
3. Navigate to your product installation folder; for example C:\Program Files\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012\Program
4. Rename the affected original files.

• In the product installation Program folder, right-click the FaroImporter.exe file and rename it FaroImporter.bak.
• In the product installation Program folder, right-click the Graphics.dll file and rename it Graphics.bak

5. Extract the Revit2012_Point_Cloud_Hotfix.zip to a shared folder.
6. Copy the FaroImporter.exe and Graphics.dll located in the x86 folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012\Program

To Install the Hotfix on a 64-bit system

1. Close all software applications.
2. Make sure the Autodesk Revit 2012 Update 2 is installed on the system.
3. Navigate to your product installation folder; for example C:\Program Files\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012\Program
4. Rename the affected original files.

• In the product installation Program folder, right-click the FaroImporter.exe file and rename it FaroImporter.bak.
• In the product installation Program folder, right-click the Graphics.dll file and rename it Graphics.bak

5. Extract the Revit2012_Point_Cloud_Hotfix.zip to a shared folder.
6. Copy the FaroImporter.exe and Graphics.dll located in the x64 folder to C:\Program Files\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012\Program
